iHerb has a vision to use their profits to assist the impoverished in less developed countries and is providing financial support to New Hope Cambodia's programs on a monthly basis.

iHerb funding to assist NHC in its work commenced in November 2012 after a visit from iHerb's charity co-ordinator Veronika Geyer. The initial project has been to establish free English Classes through the Wat Por Primary School project in Kampong Thom Province. This project involved refurbishment of vacant and derelict rooms at a local primary school, rebuilding inoperable toilet facilities and training of project staff and teachers at New Hope Cambodia. The School opened on the first of May 2013 with great fanfare and attended by Governor of council and the Head Officer of Education of Baray district and has enrolled 420 students. An oral health program has also commenced. Wat Por is a rural area, and rural areas tend to be less-well serviced by humanitarian organisations. Learning English will provide the children of this area new opportunities to advance their whole community.

The second initiative now approved and due for commencement is the purchase of land and building of an 11 classroom Khmer Primary School at New Hope Cambodia at a cost approaching US$200,000. This will enable impoverished children receiving English education at the New Hope Cambodia English School, to also receive free, quality Khmer education on the same site. The vision of the iHerb, New Hope Cambodia partnership is to give the impoverished every opportunity through excellence in education to maximise their vocational opportunities to break the cycle of poverty. It is envisaged that further support will be utilised to provide facilitate qualified students through secondary and tertiary education.
