Mr. Sot Suo (Sot Kemsour)
Founder and Managing Director
Mr. Sot Kemsour is the 'Man with the Dream' and the drive to turn his dream into a reality. Kemsour was born in 1981, one of eight children and the son of a village chief. At the age of 12 Kemsour began public primary school and completed high school in 2004, he then won a scholarship to BBU University. He attended Japanese classes before school and English classes after school at a Christian volunteer organisation and is now fluent in Japanese, Thai, English and Khmer. He and his wife Srey Mom are now blessed with 2 young sons, Sokong and Bonlake. Kemsour remains passionate about improving the lives of families of Mondul 3 Village. Ms. Kerry Huntly Okoh
Project Development Support Officer
Ms. Kerry Huntly is an Australian citizen who met Kemsour and his wife by chance whilst in Siem Reap doing volunteer work at another orphanage. After spending time with the children and families of Mondul 3 village, she decided she could not walk away from the poverty and desperation. Kerry and Kemsour worked tirelessly to establish and register the Centre and Kerry now resides in the New Hope Shelter for children. Mr. Chea Rathana
Administration
Mr. Rathana is an orphan from the Pol Pot Era and was raised as a Monk in the Wat Thmey Pagoda. He is competent in English and Computer and plays an important role in our Administration area. Not only is his calming presence at the centre very important, his values and wisdom have been an invaluable asset to our Centre.

Mr. Blaed Perkins
Administration
Blaed from Brisbane, Australia, is New Hope’s financial manager. His responsibilities include bookkeeping, payment of salaries and all payment of accounts. He also acts as a driver. Blaed’s background is in Sports Management. He came to Cambodia in 2008 as a volunteer. After returning to Australia he decided to make his home in Cambodia and work for New Hope.

Ms. Cheryl Elliott
Outreach Coordinator
Cheryl is a long term volunteer supervising and guiding our Khmer staff working with our families in crisis. She came as a volunteer, returned to Australia briefly, and has now returned to stay in Cambodia indefinitely. A former policewoman and office manager, Cheryl brings invaluable skills to her position with New Hope. |
Mr. Chheang Sokmean
IT Specialist
This bright young man came to New Hope with an excellent reference from his previous employer. Sokmean worked for 5 years after completing Grade 12 in order to save enough money to commence his university studies. He is 30 years old and has just completed his studies in IT at the BBU University in Siem Reap.

Ms. Soch Channa
Outreach Officer
This bright, bubbly young lady is 21 years old. She grew up in a very poor village near Phnom Penh. She came to Mondul 3 to stay with a family friend and try to study and find work. Channa now has excellent English skills and works as an Outreach Officer during the day and attends university at night.

Mr. Shon Sey
Outreach Officer
Sey is one of the newer members of the New Hope team. He works within the families and accesses urgent needs. Before joining New Hope he was a teacher of English. He is also studying English Literature at university.

Mr. Prom Sothearith
Outreach Officer
Sothearith has worked his way up from reception to working as an Outreach Officer, assessing family situations in the Health Centre. His bright personality and compassionate manner make him extremely competent in this area. Sothearith has completed Grade 12 and is now studying Public Administration at university.

Mr. Peng Roden
Education Coordinator
Mr. Peng Roden is a very calm, quiet and well mannered man. His Life principles are wisdom, virtue and job skills. Roden has much experience in education and works as our Head of Academics. Roden designs New Hope’s school curriculum and plays a huge role in official translation of our documents.

Mr. Ran Sovean
Khmer & English Teacher
Mr. So teaches our newest and youngest students, both Khmer and English. He is a very experienced teacher and brings to the class an air of calm and expertise. Mr. So is very eager to see all children receive an education and is excited to be able to give free education to these impoverished children. |

Ms. Chea Chan Voleak
Khmer & English Teacher
One of our newest editions to our teaching team is Voleak. She is 26 years old, married with three small children. She learnt to speak English at Primary school, starting her working career in a souvenir shop. She then began teaching English at a small private school and has now stepped up to the task of having her own class at New Hope.

Mr. Ngin Sophorn
IT Teacher
Mr Sophorn is 25 years old and is teaching computer in the morning and assisting with IT work in the afternoon. He is an IT student at University and is a dedicated staff member, continually striving to increase his knowledge in current technology.

Ms. Seng Srey Oun
Head Sewing Teacher
Ms. Srey Oun is a professional Tailor and eager to pass on her craft to our students. Srey Oun donated her own sewing machine to New Hope to begin our first Sewing Class. Srey Oun is keen to see her students gain enough skill to open their own businesses, a step towards becoming self sustainable. |
Mr. Sok Syda
Front Desk
Syda works as our afternoon receptionist at the school. He is in Grade 9 at school. He is rapidly mastering English and aspires to be an English teacher or lawyer when he finishes his education.

Chanda is 23 years old. He has a very gentle nature and is one of our Kindergarten teachers. In the afternoon Chanda attends English and computer classes at New Hope. At night he attends university studying English Literature. |

Ms. Sen Srey Mom
Restaurant Manager
Srey Mom is married to Kemsour, New Hope’s founder. She shares Kemsour’s dream of helping the people of Mondul Bai. Srey Mom grew up with 9 brothers and sisters in Phnom Penh. Her first job was as a kitchen hand in a 5 star restaurant in Siem Reap. In 3 years she had worked her way up to Head chef. Srey Mom now manages our training restaurant, teaching cooking skills to our trainees. |
Mr. Sok Ratha
Sok Ratha is a gentle young man who is studying marketing at university at night. He learnt English from monks in a pagoda. His previous employment was as a waiter at a Restaurant in Siem Reap town. He is now a valued staff member in New Hope's training restaurant, training new staff. |

Mr. Ron Carter
Voluntourism Coordinator
Ron came to New Hope as a volunteer for 3 months and stayed. His passion is to provide vocational training to the young students of New Hope. Ron’s background is in Marketing and Business Management in Australia. Ron is now our Volunteer Coordinator, and has also helped greatly in establishing the New Hope Training Restaurant. Cambodia has captured his heart and he plans to make his home in this beautiful country.

Dr. Lang Bun Lay
Doctor
We are privileged to have Dr. Lang bun Lay, an experienced licensed Physician on our team. Dr. Lay trained at Kantha Bopha Hospital in Phnom Penh and worked at several children’s hospitals in Phnom Penh before accepting a position as a doctor at New Hope. Dr. Lay enjoys very much her position with New Hope, and being able to deliver treatment to the poor and desperate.

Dr. Seang Savuan
Medical Officer
Dr. Savuan is our resident Doctor and Pharmacist. Savuan has served his country as an Army Doctor and has since furthered his studies in Phnom Penh. He has worked tirelessly to provide care and support for the large numbers of malnourished, sick and diseased families of Mondul 3 Village. Dr. Savuan plays a pivotal role in our Centre. |

Mr. Soun Phearom
Medical Clinic
Phearom comes from a farming family near Battambang. He has 6 brothers and sisters. He came to Siem Reap looking for work. Phearom is 25years old and is highly respected by the medical team in our clinic as a translator and medical assistant. Phearom has a degree in English Literature and has also studied teaching methodology.

Ms. Sot Srey Na
Health Centre
Srey Na is New Hope’s Khmer Social Worker/Counselor. This wonderful young Khmer woman addresses issues of domestic violence, child trafficking, and women’s health. She counsels those in crisis and conducts training programs for parents and students of the community.

Ms. Hoeung Srey Mao
House Mum
Srey Mao is our beautiful kind house mother. She cares for our resident orphan children in every way. She sets study schedules, teaches them necessary everyday life skills, and ensures they do their share of the housework. Srey Mao is also an ex-chef and cooks amazing meals. She also prepares meals for unexpected drop-in desperately hungry or sick people.
